Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
About these terms
ToolyDay (toolyday.com) is operated by Dev Team of Toolyday.com. By using the website and its tools (the "service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
The service
ToolyDay offers free online tools for working with PDF files and images. The tools run in your browser; no account is needed. We may change, add, limit or remove tools or features at any time, and we do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.
Your files and your responsibilities
Your files stay yours. We never receive them (see the Privacy Policy), so we claim no rights in them and do not review them. You are solely responsible for the files you process and for what you do with the results.
By using the tools you confirm that you own the files or have the right and any needed permission to process them, including permission from copyright holders and from any people whose personal data the files contain.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- forge, falsify or alter documents, signatures or records in order to deceive, defraud or impersonate someone;
- bypass copy protection, passwords or other access controls on files you are not allowed to open or change;
- attack, overload or interfere with the website, scrape it in bulk or probe it for weaknesses without permission;
- copy the website, its design or its logo and present it as your own, or resell access to it.
Copyright and intellectual property
The ToolyDay name, logo, design, text and original code belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the service, and you may use the files it produces for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial.
ToolyDay includes open-source software and fonts that remain under their own licences. Their notices and licence texts are listed on the Open-source notices page.
Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Acrobat, PDF, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to describe file formats or sizes. ToolyDay is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them.
Copyright complaints
We do not host or store user files, so there is no user-uploaded content on our servers. If you believe something on the website itself infringes your copyright, please contact us with: a description of the work; where the material appears on the website (the URL); your name and contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; and a statement that your information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We will review it and respond promptly.
You can contact us at admin@toolyday.com.
Results, accuracy and professional use
Conversions between formats are best effort. Results may differ from the original, and text recognition (OCR) can contain errors. Always check the output before you rely on it, and keep a copy of your original files. The service does not give legal, financial or other professional advice.
Signatures and password protection
The Sign PDF tool places a drawn, typed or uploaded signature image on a document. This is a simple electronic signature. It does not verify anyone’s identity and adds no digital certificate, timestamp or audit trail, so it is not a qualified or advanced electronic signature. Whether it is legally valid depends on the document and on the laws that apply (for example eIDAS in the EU or the ESIGN Act and UETA in the US), and some documents need other forms of signing. We give no assurance of legal validity.
The Protect PDF tool encrypts a file with a password you choose. We cannot recover or reset passwords, because we never see them. If you lose the password, the file may be permanently unreadable. Protection is only as strong as your password, and some software may ignore certain restrictions.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, ToolyDay and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from use of or inability to use the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 100 (or the equivalent in your currency).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law in your country.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover reasonable costs of a claim made against us because you used the service in breach of these terms, for example by processing files you had no right to process.
Suspension
We may block or restrict access, for example for suspected abuse or attacks, and we may stop offering the service at any time.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of ToolyDay is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute in the courts of your country of residence where the law gives you that right. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you cannot give up.
Accessibility
We aim to make ToolyDay usable by everyone and work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA, including keyboard use, screen readers and reduced-motion settings. If you meet a barrier, please tell us and we will try to fix it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. For significant changes we will note them on the website. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms; if you disagree, please stop using it.
