Verify our privacy promise

Do not just take our word for it

ToolyDay says your files never leave your device. Here is how anyone can check that, from a one-minute test with no technical skill to a look at the browser’s own rules.

Test 1: Airplane mode (about one minute)

  • Open any tool, for example Merge PDF, and run it once on a small file. This lets the tool finish loading.
  • Turn on airplane mode, or switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Reload the page, choose a file and run the tool again. It still works. A tool that sent your file to a server could not.

Test 2: Watch the network (for the curious)

  • Open a tool, then press F12 (Cmd + Option + I on a Mac) and open the Network tab.
  • Clear the list, then choose a file and run the tool.
  • You will see only requests for ToolyDay’s own program files (and only the first time). None of them carries your file, and none goes to another website. Click any request and check its Payload or Request tab: there is no file in it.

Quick look: the live network monitor

Every tool page shows a live network monitor under the tool. It adds up the bytes the page uploads and turns amber if anything is uploaded. It is the page reporting on itself and cannot see inside background workers, so treat it as a convenient summary and use tests 1 to 3 for independent proof.

Test 3: Read the browser rules

Every page tells your browser to connect only to toolyday.com, using a rule called Content Security Policy. Even a bug could not send your file elsewhere, because the browser would block it. To see the rule, open the page source (Ctrl + U) and search for "connect-src".

How the site is built to keep the promise

  • It is a static website. The only server code redirects the home page to English or Vietnamese; nothing on the server can receive a file.
  • No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no scripts, fonts or images from other websites.
  • Our automated tests check every tool page for cookies, browser storage and requests to other websites before changes are released.

What no website can control

Your own device is outside our reach: browser extensions, malware, shared computers, and where your browser saves downloaded files. For very sensitive documents, use a device you trust and the airplane-mode method above.
